About Velofrance
Velofrance was set up when a previously normal Englishman lost his driving license, took up cycling, entered the Etape, shaved his
legs, decided to go for a training week in the Limousin, and then didn't want to go back home again.
Today, we are based in a lovely Fermette in the heart of the Creuse countryside. With its rolling hills and empty roads this is fantastic cycling
country, offering superb variety and being well positioned to tour other regions. Cycling in Limousin has many benefits, but the biggest must be
that there is literally no traffic. Here you are more likely to be run over by a wild boar than by a car. And if you have ever felt embarrassed at
home walking around a café dressed in lycra, out here you’re made to feel like royalty!

We pride ourselves on our attention to detail and will go out of our way to provide you with the optimum environment to enjoy, and improve your riding. But it's not all about tyres and gear ratios. - France is a country with an abundance of riches, which we will encourage you to explore.

If you are with us for more than a few days you may want to get away from the heat of battle and check out the surrounding area. As well as the usual abundance of local
villages and cafes, the major tourist attractions are the tapestry museum in Aubusson and the castles of Villemontaix, Boussac, and Banizette.
For more active pursuits the Creuse river offers excellent fishing and kayaking, and there are two big watersports lakes at Vassiviere and Eguzon.

We are only an hour away from the volcanic region of the Massiv Central. Riders on the 2004 Etape du Tour may remember suffering up the Puy Mary when the race went from Limoges to St Flour.
Richard Virenque was a very popular Bastille Day winner on the day the big boys came through town. |

We can currently cater for up to 8 cyclists in comfort, with further accommodation locally if needed for bigger groups. When moving around the country on our tours we usually take a maximum of 8 riders, staying in 2 and 3 star hotels en route. We have a Landrover 110 we use as a support vehicle, and a secure box trailer that houses all your gear. |

If you have any energy left after the cycling, we also have a fully equipped gymn, including rollers, turbo, and a CycleOps indoor trainer to test your power output. There is also a full bike workshop and numerous bike-related gadgets to play around with.
Chilli and Storm will undoubtedly be more than happy to show you around any local walks.
